Also here are some safety tips for shopping on line at this time of the year (or any other time).......



1. Make sure your computer is protected and secure. This means all your antispyware and antiviruses are installed, running and up to date.



2. Control your Credit. A big concern is the possibilitey of a hacker intercepting your credit card info and maxing out your card. If you have followed #1 the chances of this happening are greatly minimized. You can also chose to use other forms of payment like Money Order, E-card, etc.



3. Bank and Paypal Phishing are usually done by spam emails. But you can be aware of these. Watch out for poor grammar and spelling. Remember your financial institution will never ask for personal information, account information or passwords via email.



4. Do your research.
