PLANNING...THAT'S THE KEY

Time is wasting away rather quickly. We are all so busy with our daily lives.....the cooking, cleaning, gardening, children's soccer games, not to mention going to work everyday and SHOPPING. How do we do it????

Now that I am retired from the work force...I often contemplate...How Did I Manage To Get Everything Done? The answer is easy....I DIDN'T. Outside appearances showed all was well, but inside was a whole other story. We all know that "closet or drawer" from hell. Never straight. Everything upside down. Come on admit it we all have them.

What we did manage to get done was carefully planned out by the calendar and the clock. Sometimes even those plans got trashed.....instead of making dinner we either "dialed a dinner" or headed to the quickest "drive thru" we could find and ate on the run.

Well, here are some helpful tips. Get yourself a cup of coffee and read on.

1. Plan, Plan and Plan.
Plan your week.....start by making a list of the chores you want to accomplish that week.Make it reasonable. If it is too overwhelming...you will not do any of it.

2. Multitask.
Do a load of laundry while you vacuum or dust. (two things off that list).

3. Assign Chores
Get the whole family involved. Give every member of the family a chore. Kids could be responsible for keeping their rooms tidy. And for a laugh assign hubby to "bathroom" duty. You do not have to be responsible for all the chores. Make your life a little easier.

4. Plan your meals and make your grocery list. Stick to it. Not only will it save you time but it will save you money. Buy fruits and veggies in season. Check the flyers for specials. But, remember, it is not a sale if you do not use the product.

5. Plan your errand route. Try to make it a one excursion affair. Do all your errands in one trip. This will also save you time and fuel.

6. Plan some "ME" time. This is the most important. You will feel better. Imagine that bubble bath with the good book, glass of wine, peace and quiet.....ahhhh what a feeling.

Eventually, you will get it all done. And if you don't...oh well. Then it will be time to consider hiring a cleaning lady and leave it all up to her.

When you finally put your feet up at the end of the day......you can shop on line. This can be relaxing too. It is time to start PLANNING your holiday shopping.

Yes I know it is only July BUT.....this too takes some planning and budgeting. It an also be very stressful. If planned out properly, you too, can be ready for the holidays with no strain on the pocketbook. By starting your shopping now, you will not feel the pressure. You can take your time to find the "right" gift for everyone on your list. I encourage you to take a look at the CHRISTMAS IN JULY promotion that is happening for the month of July at www.bonanzle.com.
There are approximately 300 booths participating in the promotion and all are offering discounts. Some booths even have a "Layaway" plan at no charge to you. That is a savings as well. You can make your purchases over time, allowing you to better budget your dollars.

I am participating in this promotion and have posted a list of all the participants in my booth.

This list will be clickable. I will also be adding new listings each day, so check back often.

Hope the above has given you food for thought and makes your life a little easier.

Until the next time........be happy.......be safe
